The city’s capital is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bern’s historic landscape dates back to 1191 and it known by its Clock Tower or Zytglogge, the Prison Tower (Käfigturm), the sculptural fountains, the Cathedral (Münster) and the sandstone facades.
